When Jeff Thompson moved to Birmingham from Louisiana in the early 1990s, his first order of business was to assess the local dining scene. That’s when he discovered a glaring void that made it virtually impossible for him to call Alabama home.“There was no Cajun food at all, and I just can’t live without my crawfish!” Thompson said, laughing through his thick Louisiana drawl. “It was either do something about it or go home. This was a deal-killer.”
We were invited by a friend to eat here after a baseball tournament. There were 8 of us and we were sat immediately...granted, it was 2 on a Saturday but I was still impressed. The service was spectacular and the food was amazing! We each had something different: burger, poboy, seafood dip, raw oysters, smoked tuna dip, and scallops! Seriously, the food was delicious! Every one of us loved what we had!

Always the best food, drinks, and service! I especially love their shrimp and grits or bread pudding. Phenomenal restaurant!
This was probably the best meal I have had out in a while. I'm from LA and very picky about my Cajun food but the gumbo is delicious!!!! Enough that my husband said to me that it was better than mine...to which I agreed and was not offended! The boudin was excellent as well. Service was fast and employees were friendly! We will definitely be back!!!!
